Smoke continued to billow out of the Queen of Sidney ferry as of noon on Saturday. The Ministry of the Environment is monitoring the situation and has advised people in the area to close all doors, windows and ventilation systems. Mission Mayor Paul Horn expressed frustration, calling the fire “inevitable” after attempts at lobbying the federal government to remove the ship went unanswered.
