Senior protesters arrested, charged with trespassing after descending upon Parliament Hill

We’re building more pipelines. We’re spending billions of dollars, instead of going for a greener economy… I’m here because I care for my children, our grandchildren and nature,” one demonstrator of the self-described “Climate Caravan” group said after being handcuffed by Parliament authorities. After refusing to move away from the doors and trying to give demonstration materials to MPs, several were arrested for trespassing. The so-called “Climate Caravan” was reportedly launched by beloved Canadian scientist and environmentalist David Suzuki.
