https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/D8OnFAK Canadian Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre grilled the Liberal government during Question Period Wednesday, blaming the increasing costs of diesel on “Liberal laws that prevent us from refining diesel for every Canadian.”
After Energy Minister Tim Hodgson shared that prices for diesel went down three cents a litre this week, Poilievre shut down his “good news,” and asked that the party “vote to save Canadians’ money” instead.
“They could vote for Bill C-38 and extend the suspension on the fuel tax,” Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne said. “That’s an immediate measure that’s going to help all of Canada. Why don’t they vote for families? Why don’t they vote for Canada one day?” he added.
Poilievre retorted: “We want to vote to get all taxes off of fuel, until at least July 1, and get rid of the worst Liberal taxes on fuel forever. That would be the way to vote for farmers, for truckers, and for Canadians.”
