“Heartbreaking”: Family loses 2 homes in BC wildfire

Newlyweds Lucas and Shawna Wagner envisioned their future in Faulder, having just purchased a home together last December, where they planned to grow their family. However, the wildfire has wiped out much of the community, and video footage of the destruction shows that the couple’s starter home and Lucas’ childhood home are now gone. Lucas’ father Joe Wagner, a contractor who helped build the family home, says he wants to help rebuild, being “a part of helping everybody else get their lives back.” As Angela Jung reports, the Wagner family has lived in the area for decades and says despite the insurmountable loss, they don't want to be anywhere else.
