The drugs are part of a new generation of popular medications known as GLP-1 receptor agonists, a class of injectable medications used to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity. Trump added the drugs will be sold at the heavily reduced Most-Favoured-Nation price. Most-Favoured-Nation (MFN) status is a principle in international trade that requires countries to treat all trading partners equally by applying the same trade terms and non-discriminatory standards.
