In response to whether he was worried that other cabinet ministers would follow suit, Minister of Finance and National Revenue François-Philippe Champagne shrugged it off. Liberal MP from Mississauga—Lakeshore constituency Charles Sousa said while he thinks, "Steven's a great guy, " he believes, "we have to consider what Canadians, what the Indigenous people want."
