https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://i3.ytimg.com/vi/bUhYFU91MgQ/hqdefault.jpg Responding to an alleged attack on Israeli military personnel by Hamas fighters Sunday, a wave of IDF airstrikes bombarded Gaza despite the ongoing ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Both Israel and U.S. President Donald Trump – who, last week, brokered the first phase of the latest Israel-Hamas peace agreement – say the ceasefire is still in effect. “Following the series of attacks in response to Hamas violating the ceasefire and attacking our soldiers… the IDF began the renewed enforcement of the ceasefire,” a spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday. “We will not only continue to uphold the ceasefire agreement, but we will enforce it,” she added. Trump suggested the alleged and “rambunctious” attacks on two Israeli soldiers may not have involved Hamas leadership, but instead, “some rebels within.” JD Vance echoed Trump’s sentiment, claiming Hamas was “disjointed” and comprised of “about 40 different cells.” The U.S. Vice-President is slated to visit Israel later in the week to meet with Netanyahu for an update on the progress of the deal.
