FIFA reverses course on allowing reusable water bottles at World Cup

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/rhwPWa8 FIFA is banning spectators at World Cup matches from bringing reusable water bottles into its stadiums after initially saying it would allow them. In a statement to NBC News on Thursday, a FIFA spokesperson said the decision was made as a safety precaution, but it has prompted pushback from Canadian host cities. Many World Cup matches are being held in areas prone to high temperatures and humidity, which can be dangerous for both players and spectators. Team Canada faces Bosnia and Herzegovina at Toronto Stadium (BMO Field) on June 12 and the temperature on that day is forecast to be 26 C, according to the Weather Network. Paul Johson has more on FIFA’s decision and how it’s being received.
