Russia says France's Macron 'crossed the line' by calling Putin 'an ogre'

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/O2k5Tfr Russia condemned French President Emmanuel Macron for calling Russian President Vladimir Putin "an ogre at our gates." Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told reporters in Moscow that Macron was "constantly making strange statements" that sometimes "crossed the line" of decency. Meanwhile, Macron responded, saying he was "never rude or vulgar," clarifying what he meant by the turn of phrase, and shifting the conversation to the Russia-Ukraine war, questioning whether Russia would actually consider meeting Ukrainian President Zelenskyy as he said he would by Trump's imposed deadline of Monday. "If that's not met...I believe that once again, it will mean that President Putin has played President Trump," he said.
