https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/zI3b2fr Researchers in the Gulf of California documented a previously undescribed behaviour in a group of Orcas. The Orcas use a "hold-to-ram" strategy to shatter one of the heaviest fishes in the world, a sharp-tail sunfish. One Orca holds the fish while another rams it at high speed, causing it to explode. Lead author of the research Kathryn Ayres says the maneuver helps the younger orcas feed, but may also just be for fun.
