Luxury ski resort hotel in French Alps engulfed by fire

The blaze started in the attic just before 7 p.m. on Jan. 27 and spread rapidly to the roof, sending thick smoke into the air. More than 130 firefighters and dozens of fire trucks were deployed and worked through the night to contain the flames. No injuries were reported, but guests at neighbouring hotels were also evacuated as a precaution.
