"My judgement is that, that is now going to roll into the broader CUSMA negotiations," he said. Carney added, "We're always ready" if the US wants to return to the agreement the countries had before U.S. President Donald Trump called off the trade talks after Ontario's anti-tariff advertisement. The U.S. currently has multiple rounds of tariffs on key sectors of the Canadian economy, including steel, aluminum, autos and lumber.
