Drones shut down Belgium airport as minister points at intent on destabilizing country

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/en2LZKO Brussels airport reopened on Wednesday morning after closing temporarily due to drone sightings during the previous night, although some flights remained disrupted, its website said. A first batch of airplanes took off early Wednesday from Belgium's busiest airport, while others were delayed and a few were cancelled, the airport's online ledger showed. The incidents that took place on Tuesday evening, followed drones seen over a Belgian military air base during the weekend. Defence Minister Theo Francken told public broadcaster RTBF that Tuesday's incident appeared to be carried out by "professionals intent on destabilizing the country." "I'm Ukrainian and I'm very much concerned that now in the heart of Europe we can see drones flying out of nowhere and we have no means to prevent that," said passenger, Iryna Prodan, while waiting for assistance after her flight got delayed multiple times.
