https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/Nax5LWs Cambodia on Saturday (July 26) said five soldiers and eight civilians had been killed as fighting on the Thai-Cambodian border extended into a third day. Both sides said they had acted in self-defence in the border dispute and called on the other to cease fighting and start negotiations. The two countries have faced off since the killing of a Cambodian soldier late in May during a brief skirmish. Troops on both sides of the border were reinforced amid a full-blown diplomatic crisis that brought Thailand's fragile coalition government to the brink of collapse. A Thai farm worker lost his entire family at a gas station when the two countries began shelling at their contested border on Thursday. "Just shortly after I parked and it was about 1 to 2 minutes after my wife got out of the car, I heard a blast and then....nothing was left," he said at a relative's home in Sisaket province.
