https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/fC5I8s7 Protests in solidarity with Iran erupted across the Middle East, drawing thousands to the streets in multiple cities on Friday. In Yemen's capital, Sanaa, demonstrators gathered after Friday prayers to show their support. Similar rallies took place in the southern suburbs of Beirut, while protests were held in Baghdad, Iraq. Tehran of course saw a significant turnout, with protesters burning Israeli and American flags, displaying images of fallen leaders, and chanting anti-Israel slogans. One protester said, "The United States cannot do a damned thing. Israel cannot do a damned thing," and gave a message to Israel’s supporters as well as Iranian living abroad who are opposed to the current regime: "You called on people to take to the streets. We are in the streets. Where are you?" At least 657 people, including 263 civilians, have been killed in Iran as of Friday, and more than 2,000 wounded by Israeli strikes according to a Washington-based Iranian human rights group. Iran has retaliated by firing 450 missiles and 1,000 drones at Israel, according to Israeli army estimates. Most have been shot down by Israel’s multitiered air defenses, but at least 24 people in Israel have been killed and hundreds wounded.
