Anti-ICE protests: LA mayor wants Trump to "stop the raids" after deploying National Guard, marines

Dozens of demonstrators have been arrested for clashing with police over the past three days after federal immigration authorities conducted several raids in the city of over four million people, including in communities with large Latino populations. Trump’s move to send in the National Guard has been condemned by California state and city officials who have accused the president of unnecessarily inflaming tensions. Both Bass and California Gov. Gavin Newsom said the action was an unnecessary escalation, while urging frustrated protesters to refrain from further violence.
