Pakistan vows retaliation on India after “cowardly” missile attack kills dozens

Responding to the onslaught Wednesday, a spokesperson from the Pakistan military said the “cowardly” move has ignited plans for the nation’s armed forces to retaliate. “Pakistani forces, with the full support of the people of Pakistan, are currently delivering a strong and complete response to this act of the enemy, and a befitting reply will be given,” Lt.-Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry told media. Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said Wednesday that the strikes aimed to "preempt" and "deter" further cross-border attacks, following last month’s militant attack on tourists in the Indian-controlled part of Kashmir.
