Israeli settlers attack West Bank Palestinians on a “daily basis,” locals claim after arson spree

Smoldering vehicles and properties could be seen all around Bruqin Friday morning, as settlers planted Israeli flags throughout the lightly-populated town, seemingly claiming it as their own. Under military occupation since 1967, the West Bank has seen a steady increase in Israeli settlement clusters spread throughout the territory. “[Israeli settlers] attack us with stones and verbally abuse us. It's a very difficult situation,” Bruqin resident Mustafa Khater told reporters, adding that the “suffering” and “attacks” occur on almost a “daily basis.” Eight locals were treated on-scene for burns overnight, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.
