https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/KkBwpOE The House of Commons erupted Tuesday during an exchange between Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre and Housing Minister Gregor Robertson. “(Housing Minister Gregor Robertson) says he wants to reprimand anyone who blames excessive immigration numbers for the housing shortage. Let me read from a document that he tabled in this House of Commons… ‘One of the drivers of the housing shortage has been the strong growth in housing demand driven by immigration.’ Woah! Will the housing minister stand up and reprimand himself,” Poilievre asked. Robertson replied saying, “there is a difference between immigrants and immigration,” before the speaker had to halt proceedings to quiet down the chamber. Robertson continued saying, “When (Poilievre) demonizes immigrants… we need to make sure that the housing we build fits the immigration levels. We want immigrants in Canada, this is a country of immigrants.” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Follow Global News on X HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on TikTok HERE: https://ift.tt/EZ8efg3 #GlobalNews
