Prince Albert, the province’s third-largest city, had the highest levels of methamphetamine and cocaine in its wastewater between January 2024 and March 2026 compared to other Canadian jurisdictions, according to new data from Statistics Canada.
It also saw the biggest increase in norfentanyl in its wastewater between January and March.
As Ashley Beherns reports, the study is a valuable resource for police and community organizations trying to tackle the problem.
