The attacks are part of a series of large-scale strikes exploiting Ukraine’s shortage of interceptor missiles. “They (Russia) don't want to stop, and I think that they want to continue and increase escalation using the ballistic missiles. And we have our estimation, I want to share with you, we have an estimation that they will increase the production of such ballistic missiles," Zelenskyy said. Since the beginning of 2026, Ukraine has received a third of the anti-ballistic air defence missiles compared to 2025.
