Thirty-two Canadians are currently unaccounted for and considered missing after the fatal disaster, though “no Canadian deaths have been confirmed,” Anand told reporters. As of Friday, more than 1,900 people are missing, and over 575 bodies have been recovered. As emergency crews continue their search for victims, Anand and Sarai announced $5 million worth of humanitarian aid to support emergency relief efforts.
