Residential buildings, warehouses and a supermarket were damaged, along with other civilian infrastructure, as explosions and fires erupted across the capital. Resident Nina Kravchenko, who escaped her apartment, said, "We barely got out... Everything burned down. The car burned down, everything. What for?"
