Nunez said authorities made 780 arrests nationwide, including 480 in Paris, where some fans set fires, damaged some businesses and clashed with police amid tear gas after PSG's victory on Saturday.
"There were, of course, some incidents, which you all noted, that led to public disorder and even urban violence, but these were systematically addressed by law enforcement," Nunez said.
A total 57 police officers sustained injuries during the incidents, but none of them were in a life-threatening condition, Nunez said.
PSG beat Arsenal 4-3 on penalties in Saturday’s final in Budapest following a 1-1 draw after extra time.
