https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/Zmnasiz President Vladimir Putin says Russia’s relationship with China has “reached an unprecedented level” after a bilateral meeting with President Xi Jinping on Wednesday, where the counterparts signed more than 40 cooperation agreements.
From trade to technology to energy, this unity pact ran the gamut, with Putin and Jinping both expressing a united front on international affairs.
Putin vowed continuous development of the "comprehensive partnership" with China – one he said is “based on the principles of equality and consideration of each other’s interests.”
Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, China has become Moscow’s top trading partner, and amid global uncertainty brought forth by U.S. President Donald Trump’s war on Iran, the Russia-China relationship seems to be at an all-time high.
“The world today is far from peaceful, with unilateralism and hegemonism posing profound dangers. The world faces the risk of regressing to the law of the jungle,” Jinping said, noting Russia is supporting his vision of building a “more just and equitable global governance system.”
