With war raging between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah, the Israeli military on Thursday ordered residents out of Beirut's southern suburbs, including areas controlled by the Iran-backed group, as well as parts of the eastern Bekaa Valley, after ordering people out of a swath of south Lebanon on Wednesday. Meanwhile, some displaced families spent the night on the streets in central Beirut's Martyrs' square following large-scale evacuation orders. “We’re sleeping here in the streets — some are sleeping in their cars, some are sleeping on the street, some on the beach," said 43-year-old Jamal Seifeddin who fled Beirut’s southern suburbs.
