Carney, Poilievre face off in Parliament for 1st time in 2026 | LIVE

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/QurolBf Prime Minister Mark Carney and Opposition leader Pierre Poilievre are set to face off in Parliament for the first time in 2026 during Tuesday's session of question period. Though Parliament returned to session Monday, Carney was absent from the House of Commons and spent the afternoon with Ontario Premier Doug Ford after making a grocery rebate announcement. Poilievre, however, was in attendance and highlighted rising grocery prices and affordability issues within Canada, noting the nation has "the worst food price inflation in the G7." Carney and the Conservative leader are expected to debate further on this matter, as well as Canada's current and strained relationship with the U.S., amid threats from President Donald Trump to impose 100 per cent tariffs if the Canadian government signs a free-trade agreement with China — which Carney has vowed will not happen.
