University of Toronto shooting leaves 1 dead near Scarborough campus

Authorities say when officers arrived at Highland Creek Trail and Old Kingston Road, they found one victim suffering from gunshot wounds – who succumbed to their injuries shortly after and was pronounced dead on the scene. An emergency alert has been issued to students on-campus, advising people to stay inside if they are in a building, or leave the area if they are outside.
