Libya’s military chief, 7 others killed in Turkey plane crash

The cause of the crash is currently unclear; however, radio contact was lost shortly after takeoff, and the pilot made an unsuccessful request for an emergency landing. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan in a speech said, “I also extend my condolences to the brotherly Libyan people, the Libyan armed forces, and the government.
