Trump announced that he would meet the Russian president in Hungary in the coming weeks, following a hours-long phone call between the two leaders on Thursday, which he said was “productive.” The meeting is also set to take place after Trump met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House on Friday. Residents in both Ukraine and Russia expressed skepticism about whether a meeting between the two leaders would result in a breakthrough. “We’ve already been through this, and we haven’t seen any tangible results,” said Mykolaiv resident, Olena Puchilo.
