“Stop the genocide”: People across Europe march for Gaza

The protests came as Hamas said it would accept some terms of U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal for peace, while also agreeing to release all hostages. Rome’s police said that 250,000 people turned out for a second day of protests in that city. In Spain, officials said 100,000 marched in Madrid while another 70,000 filled downtown Barcelona. In London, police detained at least 175 protesters who displayed support for a banned pro-Palestinian group. Similar rallies were held in Lisbon and Dublin.
