Former Trump trade expert says Canada-US negotiations will bring “better arrangement”

Kelly Ann Shaw, deputy assistant to the president for economic affairs, tells The West Block that while U.S. President Donald Trump “is not afraid to take the big swings,” she believes negotiations between the U.S. and Canada will ultimately result in a “better arrangement.” Shaw says for Canada to see tariff rates come down, the Canadian government would have to provide assurances to Trump that other countries will not be getting favourable treatment.
