Trump calls attack on Ukraine's Sumy a "mistake" as Russia faces backlash

Lavrov said the target of the Russian attack in Sumy had been a meeting of Ukrainian and Western military personnel which he labeled a "mob up." U.S. President Donald Trump said he was told Russia's deadly attack on the northern Ukraine city of Sumy was "a mistake." The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Baiba Braza, stated, "Russians knew what they were doing. There's no way they can say that, oh, it was just a mistake." Meanwhile, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas called for "maximum pressure" on Russia to end its war in Ukraine.
