These demonstrations were triggered by the deaths of 16 people killed by a canopy collapse at a railway station in Serbia's second city of Novi Sad. "Evil needs to stop in this country, we need to live like the rest of the normal world, not to have the divisions they imposed on us," said protester Biljana Stevanovic. Meanwhile, a group of Serbian students on bicycles, protesting against the government in Belgrade, continued their journey to Strasbourg, leaving the southern German city of Munich after a one-night stopover. Bogdan, a participant said he became involved in the protest because he wants "to change something" in his country.
