Canadians call on Trump "to be on the right side of history" during pro-Ukraine rally in Toronto

The rally comes as America’s stance on the war in Ukraine is undergoing a major shift. U.S. President Donald Trump has called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a “dictator” and suggested incorrectly that Ukraine had started the war. Last week, the U.S. and Russia forged ahead with peace talks in the Saudi capital, but without representatives of the Ukraine in attendance. Protesters in Toronto criticized Trump for his stance on the war and for excluding Ukraine from the talks. “We really are striving for the idea that nothing will be discussed or put forward without Ukraine at the table and, ultimately, we are really calling on Trump to do that,” said Mariya Sytnyk, a protester from Ukraine. “Whether that’ll happen or not is unclear. But he really has the chance to be on the right side of history at this point.” For more info, please go to https://ift.tt/sGedWoq Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Like Global News on Facebook HERE: http://bit.ly/255GMJQ Follow Global News on X HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on Instagram HERE: https://bit.ly/2QZaZIB #GlobalNews #russiaukrainewar #russiaukraineconflict
