White House confirms Canada and Mexico tariffs for Feb. 1, dispels "false" report

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/KPMuy2n White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed Friday that 25 per cent tariffs on Canadian goods — repeatedly threatened by U.S. President Donald Trump — will be imposed on Feb. 1, dispelling a “false” report that they would be implemented March 1. Regarding an alleged exemption on Canadian oil imports, Leavitt said she did not have an “update” on any exemptions, but that details will be available Saturday – when the tariffs kick in. In addition to Canada, Mexico will be slammed with 25 per cent tariffs, as well as China, with 10 per cent. “These are promises made and promises kept by the president,” Leavitt said.
