But with America’s midterm elections approaching, there's a growing worry inside the party that putting Trump front and centre could cost Republicans votes, and in turn, control of the House and Senate. During his convention speech on Wednesday night, Trump pitched a likely illegal and costly way to secure votes. “I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for $5,000,” he said.
