Conservative leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay tells Global News she's not going anywhere, and is ready for a snap election, should one be called. Findlay spoke at the Union of B.C. Municipalities Thursday morning, amidst a summer series of scandals that saw nine B.C. Conservative MLAs quit the party, with many citing issues with Findlay’s leadership. The former B.C. Conservative director has been accused of hiring a private investigator, to dig up dirt on 14 people – mostly their own party’s members and staff. “I’m not going anywhere. Twenty-seven thousand party members voted for me as leader who will collaborate and welcome anyone from any background or political alliances before who share our common-sense vision for change,” she said. A poll released earlier this week found that support for the B.C. Conservatives under Findlay has been sinking, with support for the party at 35 per cent -- down eight points from the 2024 provincial election and 10 points behind the B.C. NDP, according to Ipsos.
