"The moon is getting bigger": Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen speaks from space

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/fisHd6O Astronauts aboard NASA's Artemis II Orion capsule early on Saturday said the moon is "definitely getting bigger," marking the third day of their high-stakes mission around the lunar surface, aiming to return humans to the moon later this decade. The multinational crew consisting of NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Christina Koch, Victor Glover and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, launched on Wednesday from Florida in the debut crewed flight of the Artemis program, NASA's first manned mission beyond Earth's orbit in 53 years. “On our first day in space, we just saw some extraordinary things, the Earth up close, and then by the time we had a bit of a nap and got up, the Earth was just so far away again,” Hansen said. The crew is set to fly around the moon and return to Earth in a nearly 10-day expedition. The mission tests the spacecraft's capabilities while venturing farther into space than any prior human exploration.
