https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/fr1lt75 Canadian Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre commented on longtime Conservative MP Marilyn Gladu’s decision to cross the floor to the federal Liberals on Friday. "I feel badly for Ms. Gladu's constituents, the strong majority of whom voted for our conservative vision of an affordable and safe Canada. In fact, and if I can be blunt, under my leadership, she had a massive increase in the Conservative vote in her riding." Poilievre said. The opposition leader insisted, “we need to put people back in charge of their country at the ballot box; despite Mr. Carney's backroom liberal deals.” He went on to suggest "constituents in (Gladu's) riding, and every riding, should be able to petition for a byelection whenever a member of parliament changes parties." Gladu's crossing is the latest of several over the past few months that now bring a majority within reach for Prime Minister Mark Carney's Liberal government.
