Carney touts multi-billion dollar investments in healthcare, other local infrastructure

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/Ld3RZK8 Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney visited Brampton, Ontario on Tuesday to launch the $51B Build Community Strong Fund that was initially announced in the 2025 budget. The fund includes nearly $28B designated for infrastructure over the next decade; which includes roads, bridges, water and sewer systems and $6B for nearly 500 major local projects such as community centres – with the new Embleton Community Centre and Park in Brampton as an example. “This is hugely exciting. It's a 175,000 square foot space with competitive and recreational pools, a gymnasium, a fitness center, childcare services, and a ice skating pavilion, courts for tennis and pickleball, nets for cricket. It will be a space where families gather, where kids to learn to swim, where athletes train, and where this great community grows.” Carney said. The Embleton Community Centre and Park is the first of a series of 13 projects under development across the country. For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Follow Global News on X HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on TikTok HERE: https://ift.tt/vX5QnzS #GlobalNews
