Alex Jeffrey Pretti was shot dead after interfering with a "targeted [Border Patrol] operation.. against an illegal alien," Bovino claimed Saturday, adding that the 37-year-old nurse was armed and "violently resisted" before being killed. Pretti, an American intensive care nurse, was pronounced dead on the scene, and according to Bovino, “wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.” This is the second shooting in less than three weeks that has further inflamed the growing tensions between federal agents, local officials and residents of the Minnesota capital. Protests and mass backlash against federal agents protests erupted Jan. 7 after 37-year-old, mother-of-three, Renée Good was shot by an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer in Minneapolis.
