Trump tells “ungrateful” Denmark, NATO, he "won’t use force" to take Greenland

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/MuzvOj5 U.S. President Donald Trump pushed once again for “immediate negotiations” in his proposed acquisition of Greenland in front of hundreds at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Wednesday. Trump reiterated that the U.S. “needs” the autonomous territory of Denmark for “strategic national security and international security,” further claiming that the “enormous unsecured island is actually part of North America on the northern frontier of the Western Hemisphere.” “That’s our territory,” the Republican leader continued in his plea to acquire what he called “a giant piece of ice.” In his 70-minute speech – which was laced with indirect threats towards both Denmark and NATO – Trump said, “We probably won’t get anything unless I decide to use excessive strength and force, where we would be, frankly, unstoppable.” And despite concerns from European leaders rising that the U.S. could launch a military offensive in Greenland, Trump reassured the crowd, saying, “I don’t have to use force. I don’t want to use force. I won’t use force.” For more info, please go to https://ift.tt/xSpaVdk Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Follow Global News on X HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on TikTok HERE: https://ift.tt/2S5340n #GlobalNews #Greenland #Trump #NATO
