Cohen, joins Antony Robart to discuss U.S. President Donald Trump's recent comments about Canada at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Switzerland. "I don't necessarily agree with him that the close relationship between the United States and Canada can't come back. I think it can come back, the history between our two countries is demonstrated," said Cohen. He also commended Prime Minister Carney’s speech, saying, "There's just an excessive level of dependency between Canada and the United States. And over the long run, that level of dependence is not healthy for Canada." Regarding Trump's threats of annexation and the idea of making Canada the 51st state, Cohen said, "I think President Trump continues to raise it because he knows that it irritates Canada, that it gets under the skin of certain elected officials."
