Trump calls Canada a "nasty negotiator," comments on election

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChLtXXpo4Ge1ReTEboVvTDg https://ift.tt/tGLHC8x Speaking in the Oval Office Friday, U.S. President Donald Trump spoke about the trade war with Canada, justifying aggressive tariffs on the country, saying it has “been a very nasty negotiator.” The Republican leader highlighted Canada’s 270 per cent tariffs on U.S. dairy farmers and a non-specific “couple of [other] tariffs” which he claimed sit at 400 per cent.” “We don't need their cars. We don't need their lumber. We don't need their energy. We don't need anything from Canada,” Trump said. “And yet it costs us $200 billion a year in subsidy to keep Canada afloat. So, when I say they should be a state, I mean that,” he added. Questioned whether he was concerned about Canada being a “blue state” if annexed by the U.S., Trump shifted the conversation, doubling down on recent comments that he thinks the U.S. “would do better with the Liberal [leader, rather] than the Conservative.” For more info, please go to https://ift.tt/SARqcli Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Like Global News on Facebook HERE: http://bit.ly/255GMJQ Follow Global News on X HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on Instagram HERE: https://bit.ly/2QZaZIB #GlobalNews #Canada #Trump
