The summer heat has set in across the country with mercury levels showing a continuous rising trend. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a heat wave for many states of the country. According to the report, the temperature in Kerala has recorded a heat index of more than 54-degrees celsius. In most of the districts of the state, the temperature crossed 35-degrees celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted the maximum temperature to cross 40-degrees celsius in the next 2 weeks. According to the Meteorological Department, it may be as hot as April in March itself.
